Call for advisors – Opportunity to influence tomorrows health and care

CareMatrix is seeking independent advisors to contribute to the evaluation of proposals submitted to the CareMatrix Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP).

By participating, your knowledge and experience will greatly support and enhance the potential of public procurers and industry to develop and adopt new solutions in the emerging Digital Health Medical Devices Industry.

Specifically, we seek advisors with knowledge in integrated care, digital health, and patient/end-user involvement, and not necessarily the pre-commercial procurement process as such.

The CareMatrix project follows a co-development approach that brings together industry and healthcare buyers in structured pre-commercial partnerships, addressing challenges in integrated care and the coordination of care for people living with multimorbidity. The pre-commercial process involves step-wise evaluations and selection of suppliers, and will run from January 2023 to October 2025, with introductions for evaluators in December 2022.

We are particularly looking for experts with more than 5 years’ professional experience at a high level within the below fields, participation in national and international associations, and experience with conferences and events promoting development and innovation (or similar). Particular experience with evaluation/reviews is also a positive.

We seek highly qualified expertise in the following fields:

  • Integrated care
  • Applied technology – ICT Health
  • Patient and end-user involvement (User perspective and ethics)

Eligibility (mandatory criteria):

  • It is necessary to speak and write fluently in English.
  • Ability to invoice for reimbursement (company or similar)
  • Availability throughout the to described timeline (details below)
  • From a company in an EU/EEA member state.

Deadline for submissions is November 23rd.

Selected candidates will be required to sign a service contract, Declaration of Honour, and Declaration of Impartiality.

Nature of the assignment:

Carematrix Evaluators will be asked to remotely review CareMatrix Open Call proposals against published criteria and to provide scores and comments establishing the bases of the funding decision.

The Carematrix Evaluator Board Coordinator will be asked to remotely review CareMatrix Open Call proposals against published criteria and to provide scores and comments establishing the bases of the funding decision. Additionally, the Coordinator will chair the evaluation board (formed by the external advisors) and coordinate the process towards the external advisor group, and the CareMatrix Buyers group.

Fixed amount reimbursement:

  • Evaluator – €3,300
  • Evaluator board coordinator – €4,600
