RHI is registered with Accreditation Canada and has over 10 years of training experience in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. From a person-centered perspective, portable personal ultrasound devices can be tools that facilitate seamless transition and continuity of care. Exploring the feasibility and practicality of focused portable ultrasound integrated use of patient-centered care from the three levels of nurse, family physician, and sonographer as health care provider will help fill the gap between seamless transition and continuity.

Value our organisation can add in a joint tender​

As a healthcare provider, RHI help develop practice standards, implement protocols and techniques for the appropriate and safe use of Point-of-Care US, and expand ultrasound to other specialties and subspecialties in a patient family member, nurse, or practitioner of the different level of integrated patient care. A quality assurance committee of four members with expertise in ultrasound, integrated patient care, and the educational process. Three members are accredited by ARDMS, two of which are accredited by Sonography Canada. One of them is expertise in integrated patient care.

Areas of cooperation sought​

The quality assurance committee agreed on four general areas of ultrasound in seamless transition and continuity of integrated patient care. The areas included: Area 1, Scope of the practice standards, implement protocols and techniques; Area 2: Rationale for the practice standards, implement protocols and techniques; Area 3: Characteristics of the practice standards, implement protocols and techniques; and Area 4: practice standards, implement protocols and techniques Content.
